Ants are cool

Any of you have read Fall From Earth are likely aware that I think ants are cool. What's especially cool is that we keep finding out cooler and cooler things about them, and here's the latest: scientists at Stanford has found that harvester ants looking for ants behave as though they're following an algorithm -- the same algorithm that keeps data flow from getting congested on the Internet, leading scientists to dub the system "the Anternet." Puns aside, the takeway from this: ants are cool.
