Mwah ha ha

Now that the virtual ink is dry I can announce that my story "Public Safety" is going to be included in the Mad Scientist Megapack from Wildside Press. Megapacks are e-book collections of 25 stories that are available for 99 cents from Wildside or are free if you sign up for their mailing list at a convention.

"Public Safety" was originally inspired, at least in part, by a New Yorker article about the unreliability of fingerprint evidence; this ProPublica article casts a similar light on how easy it is to be "certified" as a Forensic Consultant. (Of course, the forensic scientists in that story aren't the real mad scientists... but that would be telling.)
