It's an honour just to have someone say I ought to be nominated

Cool news: "Heroic Measures" (still available here at Strange Horizons) is one of NESFA's recommendations for the 2006 Short Story Hugo. Looking at past lists I see that there's relatively little overlap between their recommendations and the eventual nominees, at least in the Short Story category (the overlap in the Novel category is almost 100%). Accordingly I'm not getting my hopes up, but being mentioned in the same breath as stories like Neil Gaiman's "How To Pick Up Girls At Parties," to name just one of the other suggested nominees, is a real honour.
